Scholarship Overview

GCU are pleased to offer a loyalty scholarship for all fee paying students to the value of 30% discount from September 2024-2025 academic year onwards. A discount of 30% discount from self funded tuition fees are available to students starting in 2024/2025 academic year who have received their undergraduate or postgraduate taught from GCU (or one of our founding institutions).

  • SOP: Statement of Purpose is required and should contain the following:
    • Your motivation for wishing to undertake this specific programme of study, at GCU in particular, and how you have learned more about this programme
    • What interests you about your chosen programme’s content, and what makes it the most suitable one for you to undertake
    • Was there a particular factor in your choice of institution, such as the local area, the reputation of the Programme Team, placement opportunities, or similar
    • Your background, in relation to previous studies, employment or work experience, and why this programme represents an appropriate progression from what you have done before
    • Your plan upon graduation and how this programme will help you realistically achieve your goals and objectives
    • Why you wish to study in the UK, rather than undertake this programme in your home country
    • It should be clearly structured, not copied and well-written, around one side of A4 should generally suffice
  • LOR:
    • Letters of reference should be provided on company/institution-headed paper and signed by the referee, photocopies of these are fine

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Applicant must be self-funded
  • Also applicant must have any one of the following in psychology recognised by the BPS as providing the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC):
    • an undergraduate degree from GCU (must have graduated)
    • or a Foundation, Pre-masters or Pre-sessional course with INTO GCU
    • or a GCU Summer School
    • or an exchange programme at GCU
  • Applicants must have any one of the following:
    • 4-year Bachelor’s degree (50% minimum; second class average over programme duration); or
    • 3-year Bachelor’s degree (60% minimum; first class average over programme duration)
  • IELTS: 7.0 with no element less than 6.5
  • Work Experience: Applicants must have a relevant work experience No min duration mentioned
  • Applicants scoring 70% or higher marks in English in 12th are exempt from English language tests

Special Restrictions: No Special Restriction is applicable.
