The philanthropic guide of the Henley Business School alumni network has enabled them to create a bursary of as much as GBP 10,000 for a Masters in Management scholar beginning at Henley Business School in 2024. This may be awarded from earnings raised for the Henley Alumni Fund.

Appication Process for this scholarship

• To apply for the Henley Alumni Masters in Management Bursary, please complete the relevant online application form.
• The Henley Business School Disbursements Committee will review all bursary applications and you will be informed of their decision as soon as possible after the closing date.
• All applications are reviewed individually by the Henley Business School (HBS) Disbursements Committee, Please note that all applications submitted remain strictly confidential and are only shared with the HB) Disbursements Committee.
• On receipt of your application you will be contacted via the email address provided in your application form to confirm your application has been received. You will be informed of the HBS Disbursements Committee’s decision 3–4 weeks after the application deadline date

If you are awarded a Henley Business School Bursary, they ask that you fulfil certain expectations.These include:

• Producing a thank you letter to donors by outlining how the funding will impact you (your anonymity will be provided if requested).
• Providing regular updates on the progress of your studies when requested.

What To Do If You Are Unsuccessful

• You may also like to consider applying for general University of Reading funding. Please go to the University website to see what funding is on offer.
• Please note that the HBS Disbursements Committee will be unable to provide any individual feedback regarding why your application was unsuccessful.

Scholarship Eligibility

The Henley Alumni Masters in Management Bursary offers financial support to students based on a demonstration of financial need. As such, you must also meet one or more of the following criteria:

• A low-income household
• Limited support from family
• First in the family to attend University
• Looked after by the local authority (been in care)
• Attended a non-fee paying school during secondary education
• A recipient of free school meals
• Be able to demonstrate any other hardship that has led to financial difficulty

In addition, applicants are required to:

• Hold a firm offer to study the Masters in Management course (full-time) at Henley Business School commencing September 2024.
• Be aware that this bursary cannot provide the main financial support for your studies.
• Demonstrate that you are facing financial hardship and that without support you will struggle to, or will not be able to complete the course.
• Show evidence that you are dedicated to your studies.
