The scholarship provides one-off fee remissions of $5,000 or $10,000 and 25%, 50% or 100% fee remissions for the standard course duration.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Academic requirements:
    • Undergraduate degree of 3 years minimum in a relevant area (see below), either from the University of Melbourne, another Australian institution, or a university in another country, with a minimum weighted average mark (WAM) of 70% or equivalent
    • This does not guarantee a place in the course, a place will depend upon student demand
  • Minimum of one of the following relevant areas taken at a third year university level:
    • Commerce Mathematics and/or Physics
    • Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Engineering and/or Science
  • An excellent command of English (copy of scores, where required)
  • IELTS score minimum requirement of 7.0 overall with no individual score less than 6.5; or
  • TOEFL IBT score minimum of 102, and a written score minimum of 24 and no band less than 21; or
  • PTE overall score minimum of 65, with writing skills of minimum 65 and no other communicative skill below 50
  • GMAT scores may be required if a University of Melbourne credit average equivalence is difficult to obtain

To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

  • be commencing an eligible graduate coursework degree, or
  • be currently enrolled in an eligible coursework degree
  • must have received an offer for an eligible graduate coursework degree, including master degree courses offered by the Melbourne School of Design, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Business and Economics, Faculty of Engineering and IT
  • Interview will be required for applicants who are shortlisted
  • Preference will be given to following candidates:
  • Eligible candidates are selected on the basis of academic merit
