Scholarship Overview

National University of Singapore offers the Science & Technology Undergraduate Scholarship. This one time scholarship offered by the International Students Office of National University of Singapore awards scholarships to degree-seeking students who have specified financial needs. Note that a large portion of the scholarship funds come from International student tuition. Science & Technology Undergraduate Scholarship is applicable for Bachelors Degree. The award is applicable for the courses like Bachelor of Computing in Information Systems. Scholarship amount details

The scholarship amount includes-

  • Tuition fees (after MOE Tuition Grant Subsidy) and compulsory fees- S$38200
  • Annual living allowance- S$6,000
  • One-time settling-in allowance upon enrolment- S$200
  • Annual on-campus accommodation allowance equivalent to the lowest double room rate- S$2800
  • One-way air passage from home country to Singapore at the beginning of the course of study, and return air passage from Singapore to home country at the end of the course
  • The scholarship will be monitored and renewed every semester provided the scholar maintains a Cumulative Average Point (CAP) of at least 3.5 (or equivalent) and good conduct
  • Conversion rate used: 1 SGD = Rs. 55.25 (last updated 7th December 2023)

    • All applicants for undergraduate admission to NUS will be considered automatically for the scholarship through their applications for admission
    • Applicants will be assessed on their suitability for the scholarship based on the strength of their applications and/or their performance in the scholarship selection interview(s), if shortlisted
    • Applicants shortlisted for the selection interview(s) will be informed via e-mail and will be required to provide a submission furnishing their co-curricular activity and other achievements, and a personal statement, before the interview(s)
    • Selection interviews will be conducted from March to June, and shortlisted candidates will be informed of the scholarship outcomes by mid-July
  • Scholars may not concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, bursary, grant, award, or allowance without prior approval from the University
  • Scholars will be required to take part in community involvement programs or projects deemed appropriate and/or directed by the University
  • NUS reserves the right not to award any scholarship if there are no candidates of sufficient merit

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Have completed Indian Standard 12 (CBSE/ISCE/State and other boards) with a good pass in 5 subjects, including English
  • Year 12 or higher level pass in Mathematics
  • Be citizens of an Asian country, excluding Singapore
  • Have strong leadership qualities and potential
  • Present excellent co-curricular activities records
  • Possess outstanding high school results
  • SAT is required with certain conditions:
    • Evidence-Based Reading and Writing: 600
    • Mathematics: 650
  • Applicants are required to submit 3 subject tests as follows:
    • Mathematics Level 2 is a compulsory subject for all courses
    • A second subject of their choice (excluding Mathematics Level 1)
    • A third subject of their choice (excluding Mathematics Level 1)
  • Recipients of the scholarship (scholars) are required to serve a six-year bond with a Singapore-registered company immediately upon graduation
