Sussex India Scholarship is offered by the University of Sussex. This scholarship is for applicants who are a national of India, are classified as ‘Overseas’ for fee purposes and have been accepted to study an eligible Masters course at Sussex.

This scholarship is applicable for Masters Degree. This scholarship is not applicable to the following courses:

• Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
• Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
• Courses at IDS
• Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
• Degrees in Social Work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
• Online courses
• School direct teaching courses
• Masters funded by the research councils (eg ESRC 1+3 funding)

Appication Process for this scholarship

• You can register your interest in the Sussex India Scholarship via the PG Apply portal when you accept the offer of a place on an eligible Masters course
• If you have applied via one of the overseas representatives, you will need to ask them to do this on your behalf
• You must declare your interest in the scholarship via PG Apply before you register on your Masters degree
• Information about the scholarship will be included in your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) for your visa application, when it is produced
• If the scholarship information is not showing on your CAS or you want to register for the scholarship after the CAS has been created, please contact the Admissions Office: pgapplicants@sussexacuk

Additional Information:

• You are not eligible for this scholarship if your full tuition fees will be paid to the university by a sponsor
• As this scholarship is funded by the University of Sussex, it is not possible to combine this with other Sussex scholarships (e.g. Chancellor’s International Scholarship)

 

Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

• Be a national of India
• Be classified as ‘overseas’ for fee purposes
• Be taking up a place on a full time Masters degree, starting September 2024
• Applicants qualification should be in a relevant subject such as art and design, computer design/science, cultural studies, interactive media, media studies, or social psychology
• Applicants can also apply for the course if they don’t have the academic qualifications required but can show relevant professional/creative skills and experience
