This is a Merit Based Scholarship, which is provided to only maximum number of students, depending on the University student. Vice-Chancellor International Scholarships Scheme are valued at AUD 40000 for maximum number of students, depending on the University student who qualify from The University of Sydney. Also, the Vice-Chancellor International Scholarships Scheme is a one time tuition reducing scholarship, offered in the first year of Masters Degree only.   • All eligible applicants with an unconditional offer by a specified cut-off date will be considered for the scholarships
  • The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit as assessed from a student’s application for admission to an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree
  • The Scholarship will be awarded on the nomination of a selection committee consisting of two nominees of the Executive Director, Sydney Future Students and one nominee of the Admissions Office
  • The Scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:
    • withdraws from an eligible course or fails to enroll,
    • becomes a domestic student,
    • commences part-time study without prior approval,
    • does not maintain satisfactory academic performance,
    • is determined by the University to be guilty of serious misconduct, including, but not limited to, having provided false or misleading information as part of their Scholarship application,
    • has accepted another scholarship administered by the University of Sydney (funded by the University or by a third party), of a value at or exceeding A$10,000 per annum,
    • does not resume study at the end of a period of approved leave, or
    • any other provision as indicated in these terms that would lead to termination
  • Where a student is found guilty of serious misconduct or withdraws from the relevant course, the University reserves the right to request that any Scholarship funds paid to the Scholarship recipient be reimbursed

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable.

Termination:

  • The Scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:
  • withdraws from an eligible course or fails to enrol,
  • becomes a domestic student,

You must:

  • be an international student
  • have applied for but not yet commenced a bachelor’s degree or a coursework master’s degree that is a CRICOS registered award program usually delivered onshore at the University of Sydney
  • receive an unconditional offer of admission by the relevant close date
