The program enables students to complete extensive, independent research on an agreed topic under the supervision of at least two expert academics. Their research will aim to improve teaching practice and extend their expertise and skills relating to pressing educational issues. The thesis should make a significant contribution to human knowledge and theory, and demonstrate their ability to carry out independent research. The core research project is enhanced by professional development activities or coursework units that provide students with the skills required to make an impact in academia, industry, government or the wider community.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for admission, applicants must hold a master's degree including a significant research component or equivalent in a relevant field. Students must demonstrate English language proficiency. At the time of enrolment in a course at Monash University, students must be at least 17 years of age. In addition, they must submit other required documentation.
