This course is designed to provide an introduction to Information Science for students from a number of related disciplines. The course consists of a series of sessions on the major contributing areas of study to Information Science including an initial discussion of the conceptual foundations and historical underpinnings of the field. The course is intended to act as a forum for discussion of the many questions asked in information science -- a field of study still being defined and developed. The course will encourage students with different backgrounds to work and think together.

Eligibility Requirements:

Admissions to a doctorate program will require candidates to submit their academic transcripts received after completion of a degree from an internationally recognized institution before applying. University transcripts verifying completion of a baccalaureate degree including a more detailed record of the work done during the bachelor and/or Master's degree/s, including the individual modules studied and the grades awarded will be required. Applicants are required to provide proof of sufficient funds for the course duration.
