For the serious, developing musician, the Conservatory of Music in the School of the Arts at Purchase College offers a distinctive educational experience—an intensive education within the context of a lively supportive community. As a student in the Instrumental Performance program, students can choose to learn one or many types of musical instruments such as brass, including trumpet, trombone and tuba; woodwinds, including saxophone, clarinet and flute; percussion, including drums and vibes/vibraphone; guitar and bass; and piano.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for admission, international students must have all foreign transcripts evaluated by an educational credential evaluator. Non-native English-speaking students and any applicant whose undergraduate degree is from a country where English is not the language of instruction are required to demonstrate English Language Proficiency. They are also required to submit other documentation.
