The University of Tennessee - Martin educates and engages responsible citizens to lead and serve in a diverse world. UT Martin is the only university in Tennessee to house a Call Me Mister leadership program in order to prepare minority male secondary education majors to be effective leaders in schools. “MiSTER” stands for “Mentors Instructing Students Toward Effective Role Models,” and the program’s goal is to provide under-served, socioeconomically disadvantaged, and educationally at-risk communities with minority educators.
