Appication Process for this scholarship

  • Apply for admission to Eastern Michigan University. University has already waived the $35 application fee for international students
  • If the students meet the GPA criteria, then they will receive a 4WARD Graduation Scholarship award email in their admit packet. Follow the steps in that email to opt into the 4WARD Graduation Scholarship
  • Students will receive a financial aid award letter via email

Additional Information

  • The 4WARD Graduation Scholarship is a fall-start only scholarship and it does not cover summer classes
  • It is an award for eight consecutive semesters. If students drop out for a semester or two, the scholarship will no longer available

Scholarship Eligibility

  • To initially qualify, students need to have a minimum 3.0 high school GPA and 20 ACT or 1030 SAT (on 1600 scale)
  • Students must live in an on-campus community for each of the four years at a locked-in room and board rate of approximately $10,800 a year, which includes a standard double room and a standard meal plan
  • To remain eligible, students must enroll in 30 credits per academic year, maintain a 2.0 EMU GPA, and meet SAP.
    • SAP = Satisfactory Academic Progress: Requires you to earn passing grades in a minimum of 67% of the credit hours you take. Grades of F, W, I, N, NC, or repeated classes are not “earned.”
  • The benefits of the 4WARD scholarship are not extended into the summer semester
