Scholarship Eligibility

Eligibility & selection criteria:

  • full-time graduate students registered in any master’s or doctoral program
  • selection to be based on academic excellence (minimum 80% cumulative average or equivalent)
  • Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs will identify candidates and select recipients normally in the winter term based on academic excellence (minimum 80% cumulative average in courses completed at the University of Waterloo)
  • A separate award application is not required
  • Selection will include alternating years between master’s and doctoral candidates and rotating by faculty to ensure a balanced distribution
