Appication Process for this scholarship

  • Statement of Purpose: Applicants are required to submit an essay (approximately 1,000 words) describing their academic and professional background, career goals, and how the program will help them achieve their goals
  • Letter of Recommendations: All applicants are required to have two (2) recommendation forms submitted on their behalf Recommendations should be provided from employers, supervisors, professors, or others who can comment on applicants’ professional and educational goals and potential
  • Resume: Applicants are required to submit a resume The resume must be current and include all part-time and full-time work experience, the dates of when the employment began and ended, and a brief description of their responsibilities under the title of the position
  • Academic Transcripts: Academic transcripts are supposed to be sent directly from an academic credential verification service
  • Scholarship Application: Applicants do not need to apply for the scholarship Applicants from countries belonging to Asia, South America, or Africa will be assessed for the relevant scholarship when they apply for a master’s program Upon being accepted for a course, applicants will be automatically advised of their scholarship eligibility in the offer letter
  • Scholarship Conditions: This scholarship will not be applicable for students who defer the commencement It is not applicable in conjunction with any other CMU Australia scholarships or other government scholarships, including but not limited to Endeavour and Australian Awards scholarships Students need to maintain their enrollment throughout their course in full-time study and meet CMU Australia’s academic progression policy If a student withdraws from the master program before completion, they may be required to repay the value of the scholarship awarded
  • Video Interview: The video interview is optional but is strongly recommended

This scholarship will not be applicable for students who defer the commencement.
This scholarship is not applicable in conjunction with any another CMU Australia scholarships or other government scholarships including but not limited to Endeavour and Australian Awards scholarships.

If a student withdraws from the master program before completion, he/she may be required to repay the value of scholarship awarded.

Scholarship Eligibility

Students who are eligible for the scholarships need to meet the below criteria:

  • Be a citizen of a country in Asia, South America, or Africa
  • Meet the admission requirements for a CMU Australia full-time master coursework degree, 12-month or 21-month tracks
  • Be accepted into a CMU Australia master coursework degree commencing in August 2021
  • Accept CMU Australia’s offer letter and pay the deposit by the required deadline
  • Applicants must provide documentation of their completed undergraduate degree (bachelor’s degree or equivalent) from a regionally accredited institution
  • Are required to submit valid test results from either the GRE or the GMAT from within the last 5 years
  • Applying for Information Technology programs requires programming experience in an object-oriented programming language such as Java or C++
  • Must satisfy the English language proficiency requirement with one of the following tests:
    • IELTS: With 60 in each band
    • TOEFL: The minimum score is 22 on each section of the Internet-based test
  • Applicants are required to have at least 3 years of professional work experience
