  • Application is made to the Scholarships Office
  • A Selection Committee assesses the applications
  • The Scholarship is awarded by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of the Selection Committee
  • The basis of selection will be academic merit, financial need, community activities, communication skills, leadership potential, and desire to contribute positively to the engineering profession
  • The Scholarship may be concurrently held with any other award or grant as long as:
    • The terms of that award or grant permit
    • University of Auckland Council is informed and approves

Scholarship Eligibility

  • 12 years of schooling and an overall average of 75 percent in the All-India Senior School Certificate (AISSC), Indian School Certificate (ISC), Karnataka, Maharashtra, and West Bengal State Board Examinations with a minimum of 70 percent in English and 85% in Physics and Mathematics
  • 12 years of schooling and an overall average of 80 percent in all other Higher Secondary State Board Examinations with a minimum of 75 percent in English and 88% in Physics and Mathematics
  • ELP Scores:
    • TOEFL: 80 with a Writing score of 21
    • IELTS: 65 with 60 or better in all bands
    • PTE: 50 with no communicative skills score below 42
    • Applicants are not required to submit English language proficiency scores if they have scored 70% in English in 12th
  • The Scholarship will be awarded to a student who has paid the fees or arranged to pay the fees
  • The basis of selection will be academic merit, financial need, community activities, communication skills, leadership potential, and desire to contribute positively to the engineering profession
