Scholarship Overview

The Cotton Family Women in Mathematics Graduate Scholarship will be awarded annually to a full-time female graduate student enrolled in a Master’s or Doctoral program in the Faculty of Mathematics based on academic excellence in their studies and/or research. The value of the award will be determined by the income generated by the fund each year, however, the goal is to provide at least one award valued at $3,000 annually.

The award is made possible by a $100,000 donation from Cathy and Paul Cotton to assist female Waterloo scholars in their pursuit of advanced degrees in mathematics.

The scholarship is applicable to all Masters and Doctoral programs under Mathematics→Applied Mathematics, Combinatorics & Optimization, Computational Mathematics, Computer Science, Pure Mathematics, Statistics & Actuarial Science

Scholarship amount details

The value of the award will be determined by the income generated by the fund each year, however, the goal is to provide at least one award valued at $3,000 annually.

Conversion rate used: 1 CAD = Rs. 59.54.
