David Johnston International Student Entrance Scholarship are offered at University of Waterloo to those international students who are pursuing a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree. Also, the David Johnston International Student Entrance Scholarship is a one time tuition reducing scholarship, offered in the first year of Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree only. Applications for David Johnston International Student Entrance Scholarship at University of Waterloo are filed separately. Students must have taken the 12th grade to be eligible for this scholarship. Along with the David Johnston International Student Entrance Scholarship application. The eligibility of the students to qualify for David Johnston International Student Entrance Scholarship would solely depend on the applicant’s admission to University of Waterloo Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree, his/her aptitude for an overall contribution towards University of Waterloo community and of course the academic achievements.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • A student must be admitted into the first year of their program in any Faculty at Waterloo
  • Students who are receiving major financial support, ie, in excess of $7,000 per year, are not eligible for the scholarship
  • International students admitted with an admission average of 80% or above will be considered
  • Preference will be given to the following candidates:
    • Priority given to students enrolled in Thesis-based programs
