Delft University of Technology offers the Delft University of Technology Holland Scholarship. This one time scholarship offered by the International Students Office of Delft University of Technology awards scholarships to degree-seeking students who have specified financial needs. Scholarship amount details

€ 5.000 in the first academic year for Non-EEA students, as a contribution to living expenses for a TU Delft MSc program based on the statutory fee or institutional rate, according to the registered nationality.. A candidate can be awarded multiple Holland Scholarships, based on merit, to a maximum of 3 (€15.000)

Conversion rate used: 1 Euro = Rs. 91.0 (last updated 7th December 2023).

Appication Process for this scholarship

  • Letter of Recommendation (LOR):
    • Two reference letters in English
    • Must be from either a previous professor or assistant professor
    • If the applicant has work experience, one of the letters can be from the employer
    • Written on the official letterhead or have the official stamp of the university or company
    • Signed by the referee and must include the applicant’s complete name
  • Motivation Letter:
    • A clear and relevant essay in English (1,000 – 1,500 words)
    • Motivation for choosing the MSc program
    • Interest in TU Delft and expectations from the university
    • If the MSc program has specializations, the one that interests the applicant most and why
    • Description of a hypothetical thesis project and preferences (limit to three possible topics)
    • Summary (max 250 words) of the applicant’s thesis work or final assignment/project, including information about the workload
  • CV (Curriculum Vitae):
    • An extensive curriculum vitae (resume) written in English
    • An original or certified copy of the official academic transcript
    • Proof of identity (Photocopy of the passport showing name, date of birth, place of birth, and passport expiration date)

Scholarship Eligibility

  • MSc programme applicants should have a (minimum) 4-year relevant Bachelor’s degree from a mainstream university (state/federal or deemed institution) passed with First Class Distinction or First Class
  • A BSc Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 75% is required
  • The applicant must possess design skills, research skills, communication skills, strategic and critical thinking skills, and a thorough understanding of the overall product development process
  • A portfolio is required:
    • The portfolio should consist of at least 2 and at most 10 projects
    • At least one project should show the product design process, from the beginning through intermediate sketches to a final concept (a presentation drawing or rendering of the final product)
    • Quality is more important than quantity
    • The portfolio should show a variety of skills, development, and experience, reflecting your personal interests
    • It should emphasize your appropriateness for the MSc Strategic Product Design
  • Must satisfy the English language proficiency requirement with one of the following tests:
    • TOEFL with a minimum score of 21 for each section
    • IELTS with a minimum of 60 for each section
