Scholarship Overview

The Eindhoven University of Technology in Netherlands provides this scholarship. The NL Scholarship (previously Holland Scholarship) is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, and Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. The scholarship is aimed at international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who wish to study at a Dutch university and students currently studying at a Dutch university who wish to study abroad. Part of the scholarships are meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who wish to study in Holland. The EEA consists of the EU countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

• The scholarship consists of a one-time payment of 5,000 euro in the first year of the Master’s program.

Appication Process for this scholarship

All international students from non-EEA countries applying to a TU/e Master’s program before February 1 will be included in the selection procedure for the NL Scholarships. It is not possible to apply separately for this scholarship at TU/e. Scholarships are also only available to students studying for a Master’s degree at TU/e.

Scholarship Eligibility

 

• Applicant:
  • Must nationality be non-EEA
  • Must be applying for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s program at one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions
  • Must not have a degree from an educational institution in the Netherlands
• A Master’s program applicant should have a (minimum) 4 year Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or its affiliated college. Accreditation should be by NAAC, AICTE, or the institute should be on the list of Institutes of National Importance.
• A CGPA of at least 8.5 on a 1-10 scale. If your university does not award a CGPA your average mark should be 75%.
• English Language Proficiency:
  • TOEFL- 90 with minimum score 21 in each section
  • IELTS- 6.5 with minimum score 6.0 in each section
