Scholarship Overview

The NL Scholarship (previously Holland Scholarship) is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, and Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. The scholarship is aimed at international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who wish to study at a Dutch university and students currently studying at a Dutch university who wish to study abroad.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • A bachelor degree (or equivalent) is required with a CGPA of at least 85 on a 1-10 scale or a score of 75% in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related discipline including sufficient mathematical training (calculus, probability and statistics, linear algebra) and courses on programming, computer architecture and organisation and operating systems
  • Good programming skills, and preferably experience with the programming language C, are essential
  • Furthermore, basic knowledge of logic and set theory, automata theory, digital logic, and digital signal processing are prerequisites for the Embedded Systems programme; the programme offers facilities to repair deficiencies in these subjects
  • Must satisfy the English language proficiency requirement
