Scholarship Overview

The Adelphi Alumni Award for Graduate Study is available exclusively for graduate and doctoral students who previously earned a degree from Adelphi University and are accepted into a new program of graduate study. If you earned a degree from Adelphi and now are a newly accepted graduate or doctoral student in a different program you may be eligible for this special award. You may choose to enroll in 6 credits–8 credits per semester and receive $1,000 per semester or enroll in 9 or more credits per semester and receive $2,500 per semester at the Garden City campus or our centers in Hauppauge, Manhattan or Hudson Valley.

Scholarship amount details

Award structure: 6–8 credits per semester ranging up to $2,000/semester; 9 or more credits per semester ranging up to $4,500/semester.
Each admitted MSW student is reviewed holistically for consideration of a scholarship of up to $18,000.
Conversion rate used: 1 Euro = Rs. 91.0 (last updated 7th December 2023).

• Eligible students will receive a scholarship letter with their letter of acceptance
• Recipients who have filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and are eligible for federal financial aid will also receive a Financial Assistance Plan stating the amount of the award

• Students are encouraged to file the FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1 but no later than the priority deadline to ensure maximum eligibility for other sources of financial aid

Scholarship Eligibility

• Applicants must have a four-year bachelor’s degree is required for admission to our graduate programs
• If a student has completed a three-year bachelor’s degree, their application will be reviewed on an individual basis
• Special provisions: To be eligible, applicants must be accepted into an eligible graduate program, and enroll as a new Adelphi graduate student
