Scholarship Overview

Deepak Gupta MBA’93J and his wife Sunita have generously created an endowed scholarship fund targeted at students from emerging markets. Their intention is to help build human capacity and to create economic and social value in the most economically challenged regions of the world. Outstanding candidates with limited financial means will be granted scholarships and the fund will enable INSEAD to continue to attract diverse candidates onto the MBA Programme. One or two significant awards will be granted in each class.

Max scholarship per student: Euro 25,000 => Rs 20,23,250

Conversion rate used: 1 Euro = Rs. 87.86 (last updated 30th October 2023)

Scholarship Eligibility

• Students from emerging market economics (EME) or developing countries can apply
• Students must prove that they require financial assistance
• Students need to submit scholarship essays of about 350-400 words in length The essays must include your introduction, your intended contribution to the society/ region/ country, relevance of INSEAD MBA for your career, description of your financial circumstances, why should you be chosen for this scholarship, etc
• The scholarship committee will take into account academic and professional achievements, and merit distinctions
• Students need a valid GMAT score
• The scholarship does not cover living expenses, accommodation, travel expenses, health insurance, etc
• Applicants from emerging/developing countries who can demonstrate proven financial need
