The QUT International Merit Scholarship is accessible across all faculties: the Faculty of Business and Law, the Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Health, and the Faculty of Science. It is offered to students who have demonstrated academic excellence in their previous studies and maintain high standards throughout the duration of their studies. In addition to the financial support, individuals are encouraged to maximize their QUT experience by taking advantage of extra development opportunities that enhance their leadership skills and professional networks.

Scholarship amount details

Applicants will receive:
a scholarship to cover 25% of their tuition fees for the first two semesters of study at QUT (This scholarship is based on the applicant’s entry score)
an ongoing scholarship to cover 25% of their tuition fees per semester of study at QUT, provided students meet academic conditions.

  • Scholarship requirement:
  • Applicants must have a recognized comparable bachelor degree with a grading scale approximately equivalent to:
  • QUT 7-point scale: 60 on a 7-point scale
  • 4-point scale: GPA of 33
  • Percentage scale:
  • Overall GPA: 85% where 60% is a pass
  • Overall GPA: 825% were 50% is a pass
  • Required for admission into the course:
  • bachelor degree (or higher) in engineering, built environment or business disciplines with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 400 (or equivalent on QUT’s 7 point scale); or
  • bachelor degree in any discipline with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 400 (or equivalent on QUT’s 7 point scale); and at least 6 months (full-time or equivalent) working in project management
  • Students applying on the basis of work experience must submit a detailed CV, position details, and employment statements; or
  • TOEFL: Overall 79, listening:-16, Reading:- 16, writing:- 21 and speaking:- 18
  • IELTS: Overall 65 with no sub-score less than 6
  • PTE: Overall 58 with no sub-score less than 50
