Scholarship Overview

The QUT International Merit Scholarship is accessible across all faculties: the Faculty of Business and Law, the Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Health, and the Faculty of Science. It is offered to students who have demonstrated academic excellence in their previous studies and maintain high standards throughout the duration of their studies. In addition to the financial support, individuals are encouraged to maximize their QUT experience by taking advantage of extra development opportunities that enhance their leadership skills and professional networks.

Scholarship amount details

Applicants will receive:

  • a scholarship to cover 25% of their tuition fees for the first two semesters of study at QUT (This scholarship is based on the applicant’s entry score)
  • an ongoing scholarship to cover 25% of their tuition fees per semester of study at QUT, provided students meet academic conditions
  • To receive the ongoing scholarship after the first semester, applicant’s must maintain a minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of 5.5 on the QUT 7-point scale throughout the course at QUT

Conversion rate used: 1 AUD = Rs. 54.76 (last updated 7th December 2023).
Scholarship amount will be given: Every Semester.

Additional Information: Dept will assess qualifications when applicants apply for study and will let them know if they meet the criteria. Students receiving another QUT scholarship will not be eligible for this scholarship.

Scholarship Eligibility

Scholarship requirement:

  • Applicants must have a recognized comparable bachelor degree with a grading scale approximately equivalent to:
  • QUT 7-point scale:
    • 6.0 on a 7-point scale
    • 4-point scale: GPA of 3.3
  • Percentage scale:
    • Overall GPA: 85% where 60% is a pass
    • Overall GPA: 825% were 50% is a pass
  • Required for admission into the course:
    • bachelor degree (or higher) in engineering, built environment or business disciplines with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4.00 (or equivalent on QUT’s 7 point scale); or
    • bachelor degree in any discipline with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4.00 (or equivalent on QUT’s 7 point scale); and at least 6 months (full-time or equivalent) working in project management
  • Students applying on the basis of work experience must submit a detailed CV, position details, and employment statements; or
  • TOEFL: Overall 79, listening:-16, Reading:- 16, writing:- 21 and speaking:- 18
  • IELTS: Overall 6.5 with no sub-score less than 6
  • PTE: Overall 58 with no sub-score less than 50
