Scholarship Overview

International students admitted to full-time, first-year studies in Engineering who are paying international tuition fees, will be considered for a limited number of Engineering International Student Entrance Scholarships valued at $10,000 each. Recipients will receive $5,000 in each of the first and second academic terms (1A and 1B). These scholarships are awarded in recognition of outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Students must be enrolled at Waterloo in full-time degree studies for the entire September 2018
  • Students must be starting post-secondary studies in a degree program for the first time in September 2021
  • Students need to fill out and submit the Admission Information Form
  • Students must accept the Offer of Admission by the date specified on the offer
  • TOEFL – Score of 90 is required with a minimum of 25 in writing and speaking
  • IELTS – Score of 65 is required with 65 in writing, 65 speaking, 60 reading, and 60 listening
  • PTE – Score of 63 is required with a minimum of 65 in writing and speaking sections
