Kennedy-Nehru Memorial Scholarship for the Promotion of International Understanding is offered by the Iowa State University . Kennedy-Nehru Memorial Scholarship for the Promotion of International Understanding is awarded to Masters Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Need & Merit Based scholarship will be given on a semester basis. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. To be eligible for the award, applicants must have completed their Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade.

• Applicants are required to submit a letter explaining their financial need and how they will use the scholarship funds (500-word maximum)
• ISSO will send an e-mail each semester to students when they can apply for the ISSO scholarships (Fall: mid-September and Spring: mid-February) During the application submission timeframe, students may submit their scholarship application in Cystart

Scholarship Eligibility

• Applicants who have been at ISU in the current degree-seeking program for one full academic year and achieved a minimum GPA of 25 are eligible
• Applicants must have completed 25 credit hours at Iowa State University
• Applicants must have contributed to the promotion of international understanding while at Iowa State University
• Applicants are required to be in F-1 or J-1 status
