Appication Process for this scholarship

  • Applicants must submit a complete application for the course commencing in Semester 1 (March) or Semester 2 (July) or Summer 1 / Term 6 (November) intake of 2022 at La Trobe University – Victorian campuses
  • Applicants must also provide the following documents before the application closing date:
  • A detailed resume
  • A personal statement of no more than 300 words or a 3-4 minute video to detail Why you should be awarded with the La Trobe University Excellence Scholarship

Additional Information:
The scholarship will be reflected on the student’s statement of account after the census date once the student has accepted the offer, paid the required deposit mentioned on the offer letter, and enrolled in the course.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
  • Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and be applying to start an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program
  • Be a new international student applying for 2022 or 2023 intakes
  • Be a full fee-paying student (Non-sponsored)
  • Academic Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a 4 year Australian Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) in an engineering-related field
  • According to Weighted Average Marks, the scholarship amount varies as given below:
  • LTU WAM (or equivalent) of 55 – 6999 gets a 15 % scholarship on annual fees
  • LTU WAM (or equivalent) of 70 -7499 gets a 20 % scholarship on annual fees
  • LTU WAM (or equivalent) of 75 and above gets a 25 % scholarship on annual fees
  • Must satisfy the English language proficiency requirement with one of the following tests:
  • IELTS: Score of 65 with no individual band score less than 60
  • TOEFL: Overall 79 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking, and 21 in Writing
  • PTE: Overall score of 56 with no communicative skill score less than 46
  • Interview: Applicants may be required to attend an interview
  • Details will be provided by telephone or mail to applicants required to attend

Special Restrictions:
Only for students capable of full course funding. If an applicant is full-fee paying student then he/she may be eligible for a La Trobe Excellence Scholarship and can receive up to a 25% reduction on course fees/
