Scholarship Overview

La Trobe University offers the La Trobe Excellence Scholarships. Every year, the International Students Office of La Trobe University awards scholarships to degree-seeking students who have specified financial needs. Note that a large portion of the scholarship funds come from International student tuition. La Trobe Excellence Scholarships is applicable for Masters Degree. The award is applicable for the courses like Master of Information Technology. If we consider the amount of the La Trobe Excellence Scholarships, then it varies each semester. Scholarship Eligibility

• Applicants must have completed an Australian Bachelor’s degree or approved international equivalent in any discipline
• According to Weighted Average Marks, the scholarship amount varies as given below:
  • LTU WAM (or equivalent) of 65 – 6999 gets 15% scholarship on annual fees (A$ 4,950)
  • LTU WAM (or equivalent) of 70 -7499 gets 20% scholarship on annual fees (A$ 6,600)
  • LTU WAM (or equivalent) of 75 and above gets 25% scholarship on annual fees (A$ 8,250)
• Must satisfy the English language proficiency requirement with one of the following tests:
  • IELTS: Score of 65 with no individual band score less than 60
  • TOEFL: Overall 79 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking, and 21 in Writing
  • PTE: Overall score of 58 with no communicative skill score less than 50

Special Restrictions:

• Only for students capable of full course funding
• If an applicant is full-fee paying student, then he/she may be eligible for a La Trobe Excellence Scholarship and can receive up to a 25% reduction on course fees
