Scholarship Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria for Loughborough University International Scholarship

  • Automatic Consideration: International applicants are automatically considered for the Loughborough University International Scholarship based on their initial application made through UCAS.
  • Successful Applicants: If awarded, successful applicants will be notified after receiving their offer communication from the University’s Admissions Office.
  • Program Requirements: Most programmes require AAA from three A levels (or equivalent qualifications), except for the following which require A*AA:
    • MEng Aeronautical Engineering
    • MEng Automotive Engineering
    • MEng Mechanical Engineering
    • BSc Sport and Exercise Science
    • MSci Natural Sciences
  • Eligibility for Scholarships: Only self-funded international applicants who select Loughborough University as their firm (first) choice through UCAS are eligible for the scholarship. Academic conditions must be met in full and taken in one sitting (no resits).
  • Deferring the Scholarship: If an applicant defers their application to the next academic year, the scholarship will not automatically be deferred. The applicant should contact the Global Engagement Team to confirm whether the scholarship will be available the following year.
  • Equivalent Qualifications: All school or college-based equivalent qualifications to A level are considered. International Foundation Programmes will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. For more information, please contact the Global Engagement Team.
