Maastricht University offers the Maastricht University Holland-High Potential scholarship. This one time scholarship offered by the International Students Office of Maastricht University awards scholarships to degree-seeking students who have specified financial needs. Note that a large portion of the scholarship funds come from International student tuition. Maastricht University Holland-High Potential scholarship is applicable for Masters Degree. To be eligible for this award, international students must take English language examinations as well as standardised exams like TOEFL, IELTS, GRE and GMAT. Scholarship Eligibility

  • Applicants must hold a bachelor degree
  • GRE/GMAT – GMAT with a minimum score of 550, with an Analytical Writing Assessment score of 40 or higher
  • Must hold nationality in a country outside the EU/EEA and meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for the Netherlands
  • Must have applied for admission to a full-time Master’s programme at Maastricht University
  • Must have never participated in a degree-seeking higher education programme, a primary education programme, or secondary education programme in the Netherlands Students who completed exchange programmes in the Netherlands are welcome to apply
  • Must not be over 35 years of age
  • Must have obtained excellent results during prior education programmes, as demonstrated by the latest grade transcript or certified by academic excellence
  • If several applicants are equally qualified, the University will give preference to applicants whose academic transcript or certified letter of academic excellence demonstrates that they are among the top 5% of the 2021/22 scholarship programme applicants
