Marie and Binford Spencer International Scholarship is offered by the Iowa State University . Marie and Binford Spencer International Scholarship is awarded to Masters Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Need & Merit Based scholarship will be given on a semester basis. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. . Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship.

  • The scholarship is available for all undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs.

  • ISSO will send an e-mail each semester to students when they are able to apply for the ISSO scholarships (Fall: mid-September and Spring: mid-February) During the application submission timeframe, students may submit their scholarship application in Cystart

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Applicants who have been at ISU in the current degree-seeking program for one full academic year and achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 are eligible.
  • Applicants are required to be in F-1 or J-1 status.
  • Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated financial need and/or academic excellence.
  • Preference will be given to undergraduate students from Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, the Middle East, and Europe.
