The Marjorie Young Bell Scholarship is offered by Mount Allison University. Mount Allison’s Bell Scholarships are among the largest undergraduate awards in Canada. Marjorie Young Bell Scholarships is awarded to Bachelors Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given on a yearly basis. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition.

  • Value: $48,000 ($12,000 per year) plus $8,000 guaranteed internship
  • All finalists of the Marjorie Young Bell Scholarship or the Bell Family Achievement Award who are not selected are offered the President’s Scholarship, valued at $20,000.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Eligibility criteria –
    • Outstanding high school graduates
    • Demonstrated strong academic ability, leadership capability, volunteer work, extracurricular activities, work experience, and good citizenship
  • Renewable criteria –
    • Achieve a 3.5 GPA with a course load of 30 course credits between the fall and winter terms combined
    • Community involvement
    • Yearly submission of an activities report
