Scholarship Eligibility

  • Applicants should be able to demonstrate a connection between the subject of study and their longer-term career objectives, explaining how they see their professional work contributing to the improvement of public life in their country of origin or at a wider regional or international level.
  • Applicants are normally expected to be predicted or have achieved a first-class or strong upper second-class undergraduate degree with honours (or equivalent international qualifications), as a minimum, in mathematics or a related discipline.
  • IELTS: 7.5 with a minimum score of 7.0 in each component.
  • Interview: Technical interviews are normally held as part of the admissions process.
    • The interview could take place face-to-face or by Skype.
    • Another interview is conducted for the scholarship.
  • Applicants with a full-time degree-level course of a minimum of nine months, at a recognized institution, where the medium of instruction and assessment was entirely in English can be exempted from the English proficiency exam at the discretion of the University.

Special Restrictions: Intend/plan to return to home country after course completion. Applicants should be intending to return to their country of ordinary residence once their course is completed.
