The Head of School UK Excellence Scholarships support UK students to fulfil their academic potential and pursue a full-time Masters degree in the School of Politics and International Studies. These competitive scholarships will be awarded in the form of a £2,000 tuition fee reduction on the basis of academic merit plus the strength of your scholarship application supporting statement.

  • Applicants will be asked to submit a statement as part of the application indicating why you think you are a particularly suitable candidate for this scholarship
  • Application Process: Applicants must download an application form from the school website and send the completed form to the admissions team at pgpolis@leedsacuk
  • If the applicant’s scholarship application is successful, he/she must confirm acceptance within two weeks of notification of the award
  • The applicant must commence his/her study with the university by registering no later than 1 October in the academic year for which the award is offered
  • Scholarship offers cannot be deferred

Scholarship Eligibility

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must:

  • Hold a conditional or unconditional offer for a School of Politics and International Studies Taught Masters program for 2020 entry
  • Demonstrate an excellent previous academic track record
  • Demonstrate the potential to contribute to the academic and cultural life of the School of Politics and International Studies
  • Be classed as “international” for fee purposes
