Scholarship Overview

Awarded to outstanding Master’s and Doctoral students in the Faculty of Engineering and in the Desautels Faculty of Management. The fellowships are open to all Master’s students studying in any engineering program or management degree program that may be applicable to the mining and metals industry and to Ph.D. students pursuing studies directly related to mining and metallurgy, including industrial operations, environmental and mechanical engineering, materials sciences, operations and technology management, and sustainable development.

  • Master of Business Administration: Offered to any Masters student in a management degree program that may be applicable to the mining and metals industry
  • Doctor of Philosophy students pursuing studies directly related to mining and metallurgy, including industrial operations, operations and technology management, and sustainable development

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Applicants must have an undergraduate degree
  • Work Experience: A minimum of two years of full-time work experience after completion of an undergraduate degree is required
  • GMAT/ GRE: Required but cut-off not mentioned
  • English Language Proficiency:
    • IELTS: A score of 70 is required with a minimum of 70 in each category
    • TOEFL: A score of 100 is required with a minimum of 20 in each category
  • Selected applicants will be invited for the interview which is conducted by Skype for international
  • Preference will be given to the following candidates:
    • Preference will be given to students with financial needs, those from developing countries, and those who have lived and/or worked in remote regions
