Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships are an incredible opportunity to study in a country with world-leading universities and a long tradition of academic excellence. Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships is a program of scholarships offered by the Scottish Government in collaboration with Scottish universities and colleges.

Applicable course, university, and country

• This scholarship is applicable for all universities in Scotland
• This scholarship is applicable for Masters Degree
• The course must be a postgraduate Masters level course in one of the following subject areas:
  • Science
  • Technology
  • Creative industries
  • Healthcare and medical sciences
  • Renewable and clean energy

Scholarship amount details

Max scholarship per student: GBP 8,000 => Rs 6,47,440

Conversion rate used: 1 GBP = Rs. 89.82 (last updated 7th December 2023)

Scholarship amount will be given: One Time

• The scheme offers up to 50 awards, each worth £8000, towards the cost of tuition fees for one year of a postgraduate master course at any of Scotland’s higher education institutions

• Nationality: Be citizens of the following countries: Canada, China, India, Japan, Pakistan, and the USA.
• Academic Offer: Have an offer of a place on a full-time, postgraduate program at a Scottish university in an eligible field.
• Academic Qualifications: Demonstrate academic merit, with the equivalent of an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution.
• Financial Support: Be able to cover the costs of living and remaining tuition not covered by the scholarship.
• Return to Home Country: Intend to return to their home country after completing the course.
• Other: Not have previously studied in Scotland under a Saltire Scholarship.
