Scholarship Overview

Sussex Graduate Scholarship is offered by the University of Sussex. Sussex Graduate Scholarship is awarded to Masters Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit-based scholarship will be given one time. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is GBP 3000. Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. To be eligible for the award, applicants must have completed their 12th grade and also possess a Bachelor’s degree.

Applicable course, university, and country

This scholarship is applicable for the following courses in the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom:

  • Master of Science Management
  • Master of Arts in Digital Media
  • Fintech, Risk and Investment Analysis Master of Science

This scholarship does not apply to the following courses:

  • Certificate and Diplomas (including PGCE)
  • Corruption, Law and Governance Master of Law (delivered in Qatar)
  • Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery)
  • Development Studies Master of Arts
  • Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
  • Globalization, Business, and Development Master of Arts
  • Governance, Development, and Public Policy Master of Arts
  • Power, Participation, and Social Change Master of Arts
  • Poverty and Development Master of Arts
  • Master’s degree in Social work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
  • Masters funded by the research councils (eg ESRC 1+3 funding)
  • Schools direct teaching courses

An amount of £3,000 will be awarded as a tuition fee reduction.
Conversion rate used: 1 Pound = Rs. 104.90 (last updated 7th December 2023)

Additional Information: Applicants are not eligible for this scholarship if they:

  • Are applying for a Masters at a university that is not the University of Sussex
  • Studied at a University of Sussex partner college (such as BIMM)
  • Are progressing into the final year of an integrated Masters at Sussex
  • Already have another Sussex scholarship (i.e. Chancellors International Scholarship)

Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants:

  • 12 Transcript Required
  • UG Required
  • Be graduating from Sussex in 2023 with a First Class or Upper Second Class Bachelors degree
  • Have accepted an offer of a place on an eligible Masters, either part time or full time, to start in September
