Scholarship Overview

Sussex India Scholarship is offered by the University of Sussex . Sussex India Scholarship is awarded to Masters Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given one time. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is GBP 3000. Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. To qualify for the award, candidates must have completed the Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like IELTS.

  • If applicants have applied via one of the overseas representatives, they will need to ask them to do this on their behalf.
  • Register their interest in the scholarship via PG Apply when students accept the offer of a place on an eligible Masters course. If students have applied via one of the overseas representatives, students will need to ask them to do this on their behalf. students will only be able to accept one University of Sussex scholarship.
  • Students must declare their interest in the scholarship via PG Apply before students register on their Masters degree. Information about the scholarship will be included in their CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Study) for their visa application, when it is produced. If the scholarship information is not showing on their CAS or students want to register for the scholarship after the CAS has been created.

Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an Indian national
  • Be classified as overseas for fee purposes
  • Be a self-financing student
  • Have accepted an offer to study an eligible Masters course at Sussex
  • Have a bachelor’s degree with an overall mark of at least 50-65% depending on their university
    To be eligible for this scholarship, students must:

  • Be a national of India
  • Be classified as ‘overseas’ for fee purposes
  • Be taking up a place on a full time Masters degree, starting September 2023
  • Students with an offer to study in the University of Sussex Business School will be able to combine this award with the Business School International Masters Award (2023). Students with an offer to study in the School of Engineering & Informatics will be able to combine this award with the Engineering & Informatics International Masters Award (2023)

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable.
