Scholarship Overview

The Sussex India Scholarship is offered by the University of Sussex. Sussex India Scholarship is awarded to Masters Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit-based scholarship will be given one time. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is GBP 3000. Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. To qualify for the award, candidates must have completed the Bachelor’s degree and passed the 12th grade. International students seeking to avail of this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like IELTS.

• Governance, Development and Public Policy MA
• Power, Participation and Social Change MA
• Poverty and Development MA
• Masters degrees in Social Work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
• PGCE courses

• Conversion rate used: 1 Pound = Rs. 100.70 (last updated 30th October 2023)

• An amount of £3,000 will be awarded as a tuition fee reduction

Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must:

• Be a national of India
• Be classified as ‘overseas’ for fee purposes
• Be taking up a place on a full time Masters degree, starting September 2023
• Students with an offer to study in the University of Sussex Business School will be able to combine this award with the Business School International Masters Award (2023)
• Students with an offer to study in the School of Engineering & Informatics will be able to combine this award with the Engineering & Informatics International Masters Award (2023)
• candidates must have completed the Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade
• International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like IELTS
