  • a citizen or permanent resident of Australia
  • in receipt of another form of scholarship or reduced fee arrangement
  • in receipt of any credit transfers or exemptions

 

Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible, you must:

  • be a citizen of any country except Australia or New Zealand. Permanent residents of Australia are not eligible
  • not be currently accepted or enrolled at Swinburne in a two-year master by coursework program
  • have achieved an academic result of at least 60% GPA Australian standard equivalent
  • not be holding another scholarship or reduced fee arrangement from Swinburne.
  • Applicants should have successfully completed an undergraduate degree in any discipline equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree, Applicants with and undergraduate degree iin IS or IT may be eligibile for up to four exemptions and depending on the number of exemption(s) given, will need to complete at least 12 more unites to qualify for the award, OR
  • Applicants with other tertiary degrees (i.e. gradyate certificate, graduate dilpoma) in IS or IT may be eligibile for exemptions on a case-by-case basis, OR
  • Successful completion of the Masters qualifying program
  • must satisfy english language proficiency with one of the following tests:
    • IELTS- overall 6.5 No individual band below 6.0
    • TOEFL- overall 79 (no less than 13 in reading, 12 in listening, 18 in speaking 21 in writing)
    • PTE- 58 (no communicative skill less than 50)
  • must be commencing their eligibile master program in 2021
