Scholarship Eligibility

To qualify for the Holland Scholarship University of Groningen, applicants:

  • Must not hold the nationality of one of the EEA countries
  • Must be going to study in the Netherlands
  • Must not have a degree from an educational institution in the Netherlands
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence or a relevant Bachelor’s degree which includes all of the following six subjects:
    • knowledge systems,
    • autonomous systems,
    • mathematics (discrete and continuous),
    • statistics,
    • logics (set theory, predicate logic, and modal logic
    • computer science (programming, data structures, search techniques, practical skills)
    • Must have a letter from the University of Groningen with an admission offer for Program

Preference will be given to following candidates:

  • A ranking of candidates will be made after a careful evaluation of the applicant’s academic merit (i.e. results obtained in study programme, academic research activities, overall evaluation of previous education etc.) and of the candidates’ Holland Scholarship motivational statements.
