Scholarship Overview

In honour of UCD alumnus and fourth president of India, Varahagiri Venkata Giri, UCD names Global Excellence Scholarships for Indian graduate students: The V.V. Giri Global Excellence Scholarship. Indian nationals residing in India at the time of application are eligible for the V.V. Giri Global Excellence Scholarship, provided that they meet the eligibility criteria for Global Excellence Scholarships.

• This scholarship is applicable for Masters Degree
• This scholarship is applicable for the following courses in University College Dublin in Ireland
  • Master of Science in Management Consultancy
  • Applicable to full-time Masters programmes except for the MBA programme in the Smurfit School of Business, all joint masters programmes, clinical programmes, and online programmes

Max scholarship per student: Euro 20,500 => Rs 17,99,285
Conversion rate used: 1 Euro = Rs. 91.01 (last updated 4th January 2024)

Additional Information

• Decisions will be made by the Scholarship Committee and candidates will be notified within two weeks of the committee decision.
• All decisions are final
• Students awarded a scholarship must commit to attending UCD Open Event’s where required
• Student’s must also agree to join the Student Ambassador Panel and provide testimonials, or podcasts on their experience at UCD where required

• Applicants must have Offer, Conditional Offer, Accept or Conditional Accept status associated with their application
• An applicant must not have applied to any other tuition scholarship
• Applicants must be self-funding
• an undergraduate degree in Business, Economics or Engineering, although other backgrounds may be considered in some cases, or
• A primary degree with a minimum of three years’ relevant work experience
• English Language Proficiency:
  • IELTS: overall score 7 with 6 in each component
  • TOEFL: 100 with a score of at least 20 in each section
  • PTE: 65 with at least 59 for each item

Special Restrictions: No Special Restriction is applicable.
