Application Process – V.V. Giri Global Excellence Scholarship
1. Offer of Admission
Before applying for the scholarship, the applicant must have received either a conditional or unconditional offer of admission to a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught program at UCD. The offer must be for one of the eligible courses across various colleges, such as the College of Business, College of Engineering, and others.
2. Scholarship Application
Once the offer is secured, follow these steps to apply for the scholarship:
- Log in to UCD’s online application portal using your unique user ID and password.
- Navigate to the Applications section and select Scholarship Applications.
- Find and select the V.V. Giri Global Excellence Scholarship tab.
- Complete the required details, which include answering general questions and providing any additional documents required by the scholarship committee.
- Submit the application before the deadline. The deadlines vary depending on the program:
- Postgraduate Programs: February 28
- Undergraduate Programs: March 31
3. Selection Process
The scholarship selection committee evaluates the application, primarily focusing on academic merit. Other factors such as references, personal statements, and performance in an interview (virtual or in-person) may also be considered.
The interview, if required, is typically conducted by a member of the scholarship committee.
Scholarship decisions are communicated within 2 to 5 weeks after the regional deadline.
4. Acceptance of Scholarship
Once notified, the applicant must accept the scholarship offer within the timeframe mentioned in the notification email or letter. Failure to do so will be considered a rejection of the offer.
This process is managed entirely through UCDs application system, and any further communication or additional requests will also occur through this platform.

Restrictions and Conditions – V.V. Giri Global Excellence Scholarship
