Lalit Chugh and Hira Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship are offered at University of Waterloo to those international students who are pursuing a Masters Degree. Scholarship amount details

• The value of the award will be determined by the income generated by the Fund each year. The goal is to provide at least one Award valued up to $10,000
• The value and/or number of awards may change from year to year. Master’s students may receive this award for a maximum of two year and Doctoral students may receive it for a maximum of four years provided they maintain good academic standing (minimum 80%) and continue to remain registered full-time in their program
• Conversion rate used: 1 CAD = Rs. 61.33 (last updated 17th January 2024)

Additional Information:
International students who hold a valid Canadian study permit and have graduated from any of the following IITs – Delhi, Mumbai, Ropar, Roorkee, Kanpur, and Kharagpur. If an eligible candidate from IIT is not available, students from all NIITs in India will be considered.

Scholarship Eligibility

• Graduate students registered full-time in a Master’s or Doctoral program in the Faculty of Engineering are eligible for this scholarship
• Selection to be based on demonstrated academic excellence (minimum 80% cumulative average in their current program or over the last two full-time academic years)
• Overall 63 PTE score with a sectional score of 65 in writing and speaking
• Overall 7 IELTS score with a sectional score of 65 in writing and speaking
• Overall 90 TOEFL score with a sectional score of 25 in writing and speaking
