Scholarship Overview

Dean’s Scholarship provides financial support, to academically excellent Indian students, for pursuing any bachelor’s Degree course at Syracuse University. This scholarship is specifically meant for Indian students who are pursuing full-time bachelor’s Degree courses from Syracuse University.

Dean’s Scholarship involves a year scholarship award which can be used to pay for the tuition. Students must note that accommodation, health cover, application fees, etc. do not fall within the purview of this scholarship. Moreover, this scholarship will be awarded to any number of students, one of whom might belong to a country other than India.

Scholarship Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Have passed class 12th

Prerequisites for Bachelor of Science in Computer Science:

  • Mathematics & Laboratory Science

IELTS:

  • The preferred score for Bachelor of Science in Computer Science: 65 with a minimum score of 60 in Writing and 65 in Reading, Listening, and Speaking
  • The preferred score for Bachelors in Accounting: 70 with a minimum score of 60 in Writing and 65 in Reading, Listening, and Speaking

TOEFL:

  • The preferred score for Bachelor of Science in Computer Science: 80 with a minimum score of 21 in Writing and 20 in Speaking, Reading, and Listening each
  • The preferred score for Bachelors in Accounting: 90 with a minimum score of 21 in Writing and 20 in Speaking, Reading, and Listening each

In order to maintain your merit-based scholarship, applicants must:

  • Maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 275
  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and Academic Integrity Expectations
  • Have three semesters to meet the GPA requirements If your GPA falls below 275 after three semesters, the scholarship will not be renewed

To be eligible for this scholarship students must have appeared for 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS and PTE. The following documentation is required from students in order to apply for the scholarship: SOP, LOR, Essays and Official Transcripts.

Students are not required to submit a separate application for applying to the Dean’s Scholarship, as their application will be automatically considered at the time of course application. Students are expected to return to India after the completion of their academic course.
