Scholarship Overview

International Entrance Scholarship is offered by the University of Calgary. International Entrance Scholarship is awarded to Bachelors Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given one time. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is CAD 20000. Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. To be eligible for this scholarship students must have appeared for 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS, PTE.

The award can be renewable in the second, third and fourth year at the University of Calgary by satisfying eligibility.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Offered annually to undergraduate international students entering the first year in any undergraduate degree in the upcoming fall term who have satisfied the university’s English Language Proficiency requirement
  • Renewable in the second, third, and fourth year at the University of Calgary, provided recipients achieve a GPA of 260 or more over a minimum of 2400 units in the previous fall and winter terms
  • International students who are not Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada
  • Applicants must have passed high school with prerequisites required in each degree
