Georgetown University is a private research university in Washington, D.C.’s Georgetown region. Founded in 1789 as Georgetown College by Bishop John Carroll, the institution has evolved to include eleven undergraduate and graduate schools, including the Walsh School of Foreign Service, McDonough School of Business, Medical School, Law School, and a Qatar campus. The National Historic Landmark Healy Hall distinguishes the school’s main campus, located on a hill above the Potomac River, It is the oldest Catholic institution of higher education in the United States, even though most students are not Catholic.

From 2017 through 2020, Q.S. (Top Universities) ranked Georgetown between 151-200. Since 2018, Q.S. has ranked Georgetown among the top 100 MBA programs in the world. (THE) has placed the university in the 151-175 range in its P.G. Business and Economics ranking for 2021. From 2018 to 2021, U.S. News & World Report ranked Georgetown among the top 50 graduate business schools. U.S. News has also ranked the university among the top 20 undergraduate business schools in the United States from 2018 to 2021.

From 2016 to 2021, Bloomberg put Georgetown among the top 50 business schools in the United States. The Financial Times (F.T.), a prominent business rating provider, ranked Georgetown among the top 50 global MBA programs from 2016 through 2021. In addition, Georgetown’s ranking has risen from 44th in 2016 to 31st in 2020. It indicates that the university has fared well in remuneration, globalization, and faculty quality, which are important ranking elements for F.T.’s MBA rating.
