Campus

Adelphi University was Long Island’s first private, coeducational university, opening its doors as the Adelphi Academy in Brooklyn in 1863. The Adelphi campus lies in the tranquil Long Island suburbs on a safe and welcoming area that has a beautiful landscape, is architecturally exciting, and buzzing with activity. Adelphi is confident that students will be at ease here.

Residential students live in seven residential communities. This year, a $5 million HECap grant kick-started a major renovation of Adelphi University’s Ruth S. Harley University Center. 

Manhattan Center

Its Lower Manhattan location, 75 Varick Street, provides students with easy access from anywhere in the tri-state area.

Located in the former Holland Plaza Building, Manhattan Center is a registered New York City landmark that provides various student services such as financial aid, tutoring, career development, and student counseling. There is also a writing centre, a bookstore, a lactation room for new parents, and areas to study, gather, and participate.

Its on-site library provides print and digital materials, research assistance, and interlibrary loan access to all Adelphi and ConnectNY libraries.

Hudson Valley Center

Housed in the Mid Hudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center, its Poughkeepsie location provides top-tier graduate-level social work programs in a high-tech healthcare environment.
