- Obtain an unconditional offer of admission to a Ph.D. program or a Master by Research program at the University of Sydney, with the intention of transferring to a Ph.D. program after successfully completing the first annual progress evaluation.
- Have a first- or second-class upper-level honors degree in a relevant discipline or the equivalent.
- After accepting this scholarship, you must withdraw all RTP financing applications, including any RTP Allowance, RTP Fees Offset (for international candidates only), RTP Stipend, or RTP Scholarships.
- If you are an international student, you must have applied for a student visa before beginning your studies.
Scholarship benefits
The scholarship will provide a monthly stipend of $40,000 (33,18266 INR) per year, subject to excellent academic performance, for the time listed below-
Up to one year for an outstanding Master’s by Research degree. There is no possibility of an extension (full-time equivalent).
Up to three years for a successful Ph.D. applicant, with a six-month extension (full-time equivalent).
