Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) was established in 2009 by the Ministry of Education and later granted autonomous university status in 2014. It is a self-contained institute of applied learning that provides students with specialized degrees. The Singapore Institute of Technology has collaborated with five local polytechnics and world-class universities. The growth at SIT is vivid, with 500 students in ten degree programs to approximately 6,000 students in 43 degree programs from SIT and ten partner universities abroad. They established five clusters for the programs- Engineering (ENG), Chemical Engineering and Food Technology (CEFT), Infocomm Technology (ICT), Health and Social Sciences (HSS), and Design and Specialized Businesses (DSB).

Singapore Institute of Technology campus
SIT, an independent institution in Singapore, offers comprehensive work-study degrees and opportunities for applied learning. The institution’s main campus is at 10 Dover Drive in Singapore. The remaining five campuses are at five nearby polytechnics. SIT will open a new central campus in Punggol, Singapore, near the brand-new Punggol Coast MRT station, in 2023. Admission
Every year, from January to March, SIT holds its annual admissions period. When applying to SIT, applicants with international qualifications should include the following documents.
- ‘A’ Level/Year 12 examination results (Entry Qualification)
- ‘O’ Level/Year 10 examination results
- High school transcript with grading system explanation
- Applicants whose primary language of instruction in high school was not English must submit an acceptable English language test score (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL).
- Additional test results as needed (for example, SAT and SAT subject tests).
- You must get a certified English translation for documents that are not in English.

Global experience
Students pursuing SIT-accredited and joint degree programs can participate in the Overseas Integrated Work Study Programme (OIWSP). They can also participate in other optional programs such as, the Overseas Exposure Programme (OEP) and International Internship Programme (IIP).
The compulsory Overseas Immersion Programme (OIP) will provide greater learning experiences through international exposure for students pursuing joint or Overseas University (OU) undergraduate programs. You will have the opportunity to interact with your university professors and mentors while living abroad with your fellow international students.
