A St. Andrew’s education is like no other.
St. Andrew’s College is a Roman Catholic college in the Bandra suburb of Mumbai, India. Simon Pimenta, the archbishop of Bombay (1978–1996), opened the institution on July 9, 1983. St. Located in Bandra, Mumbai’s Queen of the suburbs, this college has an A-grade accreditation from NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) and the Maharashtra Board.
The institution gradually grew from 194 students when it opened in 1983 to its current enrolment of nearly 4000. In 1998, the junior college, which St. Andrew’s School managed, became a part of the college.
The college’s motto, “Enlighten the Darkness,” refers to Christ, the light of the world and the inspiration for all of the college’s activities, which his Apostle oversees.

General Admission process
- According to the guidelines established by the government and the University of Mumbai, students are admitted. Being a minority college, 50% of the seats are for Catholics.
- No admission shall be valid until the Principal has agreed and the college office has received the fees. After being admitted to college, a student must pay tuition for the full academic year. Unless a student notifies the Principal in writing of their desire to withdraw from the institution, they are deemed to have duly enrolled for the academic year after admission.
- All admissions are only good for one academic year, and they must renew using the appropriate application form for each additional year of college study.
- Due to poor behavior, attendance, or academic performance, a student may not be permitted to enroll in the following term or semester of the academic year.
