The University is located in the bustling town of Guildford, in the heart of the southeast of England. It is easily accessible by road and rail, with excellent connections to London. Guildford town center, a 10-minute walk from campus, is bustling with bars, restaurants, and cafes.
The University is divided into three faculties- Arts and Social Sciences, Engineering and Physical Sciences, and Health and Medical Sciences. The University has campuses across three sites in Guildford- Stag Hill, Hazel Farm, and Manor Park, which includes a host of student housing and the University’s £36 million Surrey Sports Park.
Surrey was recognized as an ‘outstanding’ institution when it received the prestigious Gold award in the first-ever Teaching Excellence Framework, demonstrating its commitment to inspiring and preparing students for a successful future. Campus
Located near Guildford town center, The university has two campuses, one in Stag Hill and one in Manor Park. Builders designed the Manor Park campus with space constraints in mind. The Manor Park campus is home to the School of Veterinary Medicine, Surrey Sports Park, and student housing. The university’s Surrey Research Park opened in 1985 and is home to more than 100 businesses and nearly 2500 employees. The University of Surrey comprises three faculties, 22 schools, and departments. Some of the faculties include the engineering and physical sciences faculties, health and medical sciences faculties, and arts and social sciences.
The lovely Stag Hill campus provides everything the students need for their studies and beyond. Students can find a quiet spot in the library to work on their latest project, grab a fresh lunch with friends at the food market, or test out the impressive sports facilities without leaving campus.
The £16 million Library and Learning Centre is the university’s academic hub, located in the heart of campus.
The Library houses hundreds of thousands of books and journals, as well as audio and image collections, and hosts multi-million-pound online information resources that are easily accessible both on and off campus. The library is open 24 hours a day during the semester and has extended hours during vacations.
Throughout their time at the University of Surrey, the Accommodation Office assists students in finding the right place to live at an affordable rent. It has over 5,000 rooms of various types to suit all budgets within the University’s accommodations. Except for the studio flats (band F) at Manor Park, all the university’s courts (the halls of residence at Surrey) are self-catering with shared kitchen facilities.
