Dr. Benjamin Lickey founded Lincoln University in 1919 in San Francisco as a private non-profit non-secretarial educational institution. Since its inception, LU has focused on practical, down-to-earth education with a strong international flavor.
In the 1960s and 1970s, the University offered a curriculum of outstanding Business Administration programs, with a special emphasis on Master of Business Administration degrees with a variety of concentration areas, to meet the demand of international students for American business education.
The university expanded the curriculum in 2010 with the introduction of the Doctor of Business Administration and, later, the Master of Science in International Business and Finance Management degree programs. The university developed a strong Diagnostic Imaging program in 2005, resulting in a Bachelor of Science degree.
